Meant to be Mine by Becky Wade REVIEW

Meant to be Mine (Porter Family #2)

Ty Porter has always been irresistible to Celia Park. All through high school--irresistible. When their paths cross again after college--still irresistible. This time, though, Ty seems to feel exactly the same way about Celia. Their whirlwind romance deposits them at a street-corner Las Vegas wedding chapel.

The next morning they wake to a marriage certificate and a dose of cold reality. Celia's ready to be Ty's wife, but Ty's not ready to be her husband. He's a professional bull rider; he lives on the road, and he's long planned to settle down with the hometown girl he's known since childhood.

Five and a half years pass. Celia's buried her dreams so that she can afford to raise her daughter. Ty's achieved all of his goals. Or thought he had, until he looks again into the eyes of the woman he couldn't forget and into the face of the child he never knew he had.

How much will Ty sacrifice to win back Celia's trust and prove to her that their spontaneous marriage can still become the love of a lifetime?

This is actually the second book in the series. I haven't yet read the first one, although I am looking forward to it. :)
I think because I am not super girly (I don't wear skirts or dresses, but I do wear heels, makeup, jewelry..), Celia got on y nerves almost right away with how giddy she was with Ty. I get that she has had a long time crush on him and she is finally with him. I was happy for her in that aspect. But it felt as though she was putting him on this pedestal that he did not quite deserve. Especially with how he treated her at times. I did not care for those moments. Although, to be fair, there were peeks and little glances of himself that ended up redeeming his character and his behavior towards Celia. Becky Wade certainly knows how to take her readers for a ride in this book, that is for sure. I found myself not exactly liking Celia, yet feeling for her situation; and at the same time, not being a fan of Ty's. Yet he finally shows he has grown into the man Celia knew he was as well as the readers hoped he would with a sigh of relief.

I do recommend this book, the author will take you for a ride.
